I've always considered myself a somewhat decent artist. I could draw and sketch (but never could grasp painting) and was always revered by teachers and classmates alike for my talent, and even though I accepted these claims gracefully while trying to never let it get to my head, I knew I was capable of more.

Years go by and I delved into the world of photography, and I had no idea what I was missing. The way a hair can change the perspective of a photograph, a shadow to add an immense amount of depth. I found my passion.

I've never really had a professional digital SLR camera, just my little electronic store-bought one that suited me just fine. When I finally was able to get my hands on a professional camera at a photography studio, I never wanted to let it go. I saw what I was truly capable of and wanted to continue on in my new passion for photography.

While working at the studio, I received many compliments on my work from co-workers and clients alike, but when I really knew i had done something special was in people's initial reaction... a tear in the eye of a mother who's child I photographed standing for the first time or giving a look that only she saw. An engaged couple getting their first professional pictures taken and seeing just how in love they are by the way they look at each other in a photo. The ability to altar someone's mood based on a photograph has never ceased to amaze me. 

Now, the next step in all this is to try and show everyone how passionate about photography I am and how dedicated I am at getting exactly what they wanted to see, and more...
